Optimum Oils launches Tribo-Technology and strengthens UK specialist lubricants offering

Optimum Oils Ltd is pleased to announce two strategic developments that will enhance our ability to deliver high-performance lubrication solutions throughout the UK and Ireland.
1. Launch of Tribo-Technology Ltd
We are proud to introduce Tribo-Technology Ltd, the newly formed high-performance lubricants division of Optimum Oils. This dedicated business unit has been created to support demanding industrial applications where advanced lubrication, technical expertise and reliable supply are critical. Drawing on the experience, engineering background and customer-driven mindset of the Optimum Oils team, Tribo-Technology will focus on delivering specialist lubricants, service support and technical solutions to sectors such as process manufacturing, precision engineering, automation and oil-based performance fluids.
2. Acquisition of IKV UK business
Effective 3 November 2025, Tribo-Technology Ltd has acquired the goodwill and customer business of IKV Tribology Ltd’s UK operations from Quaker Houghton (via the recent IKV Group acquisition). As part of this transition:

The IKV UK team has joined Tribo-Technology, ensuring continuity of technical expertise and customer support.

The Raglan facility continues as the operational hub for IKV branded products in the UK.

Tribo-Technology becomes the exclusive UK & Ireland distributor of IKV speciality lubricants, enabling us to deliver a seamless supply chain, trusted brand and product range to our clients.

Existing IKV customers will experience no disruption in service; instead they will benefit from enhanced access, improved UK-based technical support and the broader Optimum/Oils distribution network.
